Journalism is not a new form of human expression. We as a spices have done this since the birth of reading an writing. Some of us love to write down our thoughts and some of us don't, but what I have discovered over the years is it can be one of the most important spiritual tool you ever use. Scientific evidence supports that journaling provides other unexpected benefits. The act of writing accesses your left brain, which is analytical and rational. While your left brain is occupied, your right brain is free to create, intuit and feel. In sum, writing removes mental blocks and allows you to use all of your brainpower to better understand yourself, others and the world around you. This unique union of energy can be used in many beneficial ways.
Manifestation
Most of us struggle with manifestation because in our modern world we have lots of obligations and our thoughts seem to bounce around and our intent is sometimes unclear to even us. Starting a manifestation journal can help you organize your wants and desires, if you are not sure about your ability to manifest this can also help you see your success. Its also important to notice your emotional patterns while doing this. How we feel greatly effects how we manifest our reality. For example people who have a hard time manifesting money might notice that when they try to manifest money the feel a lot of self-doubt, which is counter productive in terms of vibration. This will help you see over time how important your emotions are when it comes to your reality.
Meditation
Using a journal to keep record of your meditations can also be helpful. Sometimes we forget what we experience writing down your experiences will strengthen your ability to meditate as well as keep record of all the amazing things that happen during meditations.
Strengthen the Emotional Body
Most forms of journaling are very similar to shadow work. Writing down how you feel will allow you to re-integrate your emotional guidance system and strengthen your intuition. This well help you learn how to understand your emotions. Which is the first step in healing any emotional trauma that might have occurred in your life. Some refer to this as shadow work.
How do I start a Journal?
Simply start! Its doesn't have to be special some write for a certain amount of time each day. Some write on certain days of the week. I personally have a subject dedicated to each day of the week. For example on Mondays I do a Manifestation entry and Sundays I do a shadow work entry. The only important part is that it works for you and that its set up in a way that motivates you to write.
I still struggle with what topic to write about?
Sometimes this happens to even the best writers luckily there are lots of journal prompts online if you hit a mental block.
Start Now!!!!!
For those of you that want to jump into this now I have decided to pull a very enlightening shadow work exercise you can use as a journal entry.
1) Find a quite place to write
2) Relax the body start by putting yourself in meditative like state. Focus on breath until you feel ready to begin.
3) Now bring to mind someone/something who you strongly dislike, or someone who has a lot of behaviors that drive you crazy and make you angry.
4) Make a list of all the things about this person that you do not like. Be very specific about which things about them or their behavior bother you.
5) When you have finished, draw a box around this list. In large letters, label this box "My Shadow."
6) Consider that all the characteristics you have written down represent a hidden, unconscious part of yourself. This is a part of yourself that you hate, fear, or otherwise dislike for some reason.
7) Think about how many people around you demonstrate these shadow characteristics you have described. You may be surprised! It is often the case that we attract into our lives people and situations that have these shadow characteristics that we dislike. This is because the shadow is a disowned part of yourself that contains important parts of your overall, whole personality.
8) Reflect on what you see and make notes of ways you can start to except these hidden aspects of yourself.
Have a wonderful week!!!!!
