Spiritual people often think that to be enlightened they have to be perfect. For some this is going to church, others like to meditate and eat right. Some of these people believe they have to do this to the point where they begin to "pretend" that bad things can't and don't happen to them. They live in the illusion that they are in control of their reality. When the truth is inside they feel the complete opposite, but are afraid that showing these feelings will show spiritual weakness. When in fact this denial is the very thing that holds many spiritual people back.
From a very young age we are taught whats right and wrong by are parents. Few if any of us question this because its simply "the way it is". This becomes or own foundation for what we consider right and wrong. The problem with this is after generations of bad parenting we have all fallen pray to the "showing emotions is wrong" belief. Many of are parents told us at least once one of the following:
"Thats doesn't hurt stop crying"
"Stop acting like a baby"
"You have no reason to angry"
"You should be happy you got what you wanted"
Basically anything that your parents told you that invalidated a emotion you were feeling, is an example of how we have taught generation after generation that showing emotion is wrong. The universe doesn't have a right or wrong. Therefor, you can't ever feel something you weren't meant to feel, and its not wrong to feel that way. Its this major flaw in our society that drives many of us, spiritual or not, in the direction of what is considered good instead of what feels good, even if we are doing so subconsciously.
For those who realize they create their own reality its easy to see that this complicates many peoples lives. When you do what is considered good to others instead of what feels good to yourself you are going to create a reality where you are constantly forced to face these hidden emotions until you express them.

This dimension is a mirror reality. That is why what you put out gets send back to you. This is why I encourage people to not focus on negative things or events even if you are focusing on the fact that its negative because you are still placing focus on it and in this reality are thoughts create, not or opinions about the thoughts. So when you say things like "NO MORE WAR" you are not manifesting less war you are focusing on war therefor creating it within this reality.
Thoughts are the foundation of this reality and emotions are what bring it meaning. Its about time we start learning how to allow ourselves to feel and learn how to express or emotions. This is the single most important thing we can do for ourselves. Most of us who struggle with this are highly spiritual. We use manifestation journals, meditations, diet, ext. trying to find happiness in live in a higher vibrational state, but still feel stuck or like its not enough. If that is the case for you, you need to learn to express and more importantly accept your emotions.
Step 1
DO NOT LET YOU OR OTHERS JUDGE THE WAY YOU FEEL!!!
I can not stress enough how important it is to try to understand an emotion instead of judge it. Validate it. If your angry someone hit your car, validate to yourself that you have a right to be angry. That example is an easy one but sometimes its not easy to validate an emotion.
Step 2
DO NOT AVOID THE WAY YOU FEEL!
Addiction is a terrible problem in today's society and its because we have been taught to avoid certain emotions, when this gets hard many turn to external things to distract them from their internal world. Which is why drug and alcohol abuse are very common in our society. IF you struggle with addiction its even harder to allow yourself to feel. Don't be afraid to ask for help.
Step 3
TRUST THE WAY YOU FEEL!
When you were born you didn't distrust yourself and you were very in tune with your emotion guidance system otherwise known as instinct. You were not yet able to make choices based on reason so you relied on the way you felt. Personally, I still feel like this trumps reason every time adult or not. If it doesn't feel right you need to learn to trust yourself. Your higher-self may be trying to tell you something.
Did you know your higher-self is communicates to you through feelings?
Its similar to a way a collar and leash work on a dog. If the dog heads to far in the wrong direction it causes pain and pressure causing the dog to be forced back on course. Emotions work the same way.
If you start doing just these simple steps and you will noticed a huge difference.
Have a good week
