Reincarnation comes from the Hindu-buddhist philosophy of soul transmigration. This is the "religious" concept of the eternal birth-death-birth cycle, where a soul moves from body to body. Reincarnation appeals to Western "religious" thinking, such as the New Age philosophies, because the life cycle concept provides people with unlimited chances to get life right. Which is unfortunately not the true purpose of reincarnation. So today I thought I would write about my thoughts and ideas on this subject as I have also received many emails from people requesting a blog on this topic.
Karma
Reincarnation originally went hand in hand with karma. For example if you behaved badly in one life you would be incarnate as something seen as a lesser being such as a plant or animal. Or that if you were poor it was because you where greedy in your past life or something along those lines. To me that is honoring the man made concept of reward and punishment, which is not a part of the expansion of the universe. We are again personifying the creative energy of the universe and assuming that it acts like we do. I also firmly believe that karma doesn't even exist which I go into much more detail in my blog titled "Does Karma Even Exist?"
Intelligence
My biggest issue with our current understanding of reincarnation is that the presence of intelligence makes a living thing more important than something of a lesser intelligence. Meaning that you reincarnate as more intelligent spices over time. For example plants are thought to be some of the first things you incarnate as because the are living but don't have brains or means of movement. To me this is quite the opposite. Plants do not resit there nature, they live a life of no resistance which is why plants have such a high vibrational quality. Now compare that to a human that has the ability to resist things that happen to it because of its intelligence. Humans vibration fluctuates depending on what it experiences and can change it. So to me intelligence plays little role in how you reincarnate. Both a plant and a intelligent being like a human play huge roles in the expansion of the universe and its naive of us to put certain spices on a pedestal just because they are intelligent. The lives you choose are to benefit your personal expansion and that the only factor that matters when you are in transition between lives.
You need to get life right!
There is also this idea that you will incarnate till you get life "right". This is total crap!!! Life came out of the desire for source to know itself which has nothing to to with right and wrong, in fact the universe and everything in it are creating whats right and wrong at this very moment. There is no predestined way of being that is superior than another. The universe is experiencing all it can and constantly changing as we supply it with new desires. Which means that you won't stop incarnating once you have done it "right" but when the desire to expand has diminished. Don't worry yourself over getting life right there is simply no such thing. Its in the making so to speak.
Why would you want to continue living life after life. There is so much suffering?
Its so interesting to me how we have become afraid to live. Many who believe reincarnation believe they will eventually take an immortal form and stop living in the physical dimension. What most don't realize about this idea is that it is coming from the perspective of a physical being and we have little to no memory of what its like to be with source energy. Imagine spending forever without experiencing the taste of your favorite food or never feeling love again? You don't feel when your in your energy state. You can't experience, you can't change. Which is why most of us come back rather quickly. You simply miss life. Despite the suffering.....we love the good things more!
Have a great week!!!
